در جلسه هجدهم دومین کاربرد عبارات ing دار را بررسی کردیم. همچنین تحلیل متن "نرم افزارهای معماری" را به پایان رساندیم و تحلیل متن " انرژی و معماری" را آغاز کردیم.
در جلسه ی پیشین، با اولین کاربرد عبارات Ingدار آشنا شدیم: نشان دادن نتیجه ی یک کار. مثال:
The company introduced this new model of laptop, becoming the first American company to win the creativity award.
این شرکت مدل جدیدی از لپتاپ رو معرفی کرد و (در نتیجه) تبدیل به اولین شرکت آمریکایی شد که "جایزه ی ابتکار" را می برد.
دومین کاربرد عبارات ing دار برای توصیف حالت جمله ی پیش از خود هستند. به مثالهای زیر رجوه کنید:
- They spent the afternoon at home, discussing all the aspects of this plan.
اونها بعد از ظهر رو در منزل گذروندند (درحالی که) تمام جنبه های طرح رو بررسی می کردند.
- The employees were busy during the weekend, preparing for the event.

Space Plaing
The space plaing process begins when a person, or a group of people, decide to put a building, or a portion of a building, to a new practical use. This may include varying scales, from small residential or working spaces to vast, complex business and institutional facilities. Except in the simplest space, a small apartment or office, making efficient and functionally satisfying use of space is a complex task that is far beyond the capabilities of most building users. This is when and why a space plaing specialist, an interior designer or architect, is called to solve the problem.
Plaing methodology is a phrase used to describe the phase of the space plaing process that begins when the plaing problem is presented to the plaer. It ends when physical plaing starts. In some professional texts, this is called the pre-design process, meaning all necessary steps of data gathering, research analysis, and interpretation before actual plaing.
فرآیند برنامه ریزی فضا هنگامی آغاز می شود که یک فرد و یا گروهی از افراد تصمیم می گیرند که از یک ساختمان و یا بخشی از یک ساختمان برای یک کاربری عملی جدید استفاده کنند که ممکن است شامل مقیاس های متفاوتی باشد، از فضاهای مسکونی یا کاری کوچک تا مجموعه های موسسه ای و تجاری پیچیده و وسیع. به غیر از فضاهای ساده مانند یک دفتر و یا آپارتمان کوچک، استفاده ی کارآمد از فضا که از لحاظ عملکرد رضایتبخش باشد، فرآیندی پیچیده است که تا حد زیادی از توانایی های اغلب کاربران ساختمان ها فراتر است. به همین دلیل و در همین موقع هست که یک متخصص برنامه ریزی فضا، یک طراح داخلی و یا معمار فراخوانده می شود تا مشکل را برطرف کند.
روش برنامه ریزی، عبارتی هست که برای توصیف فازی از فرآیند برنامه ریزی فضا استفاده می شود که با ارائه ی مشکل برنامه ریزی به طراح آغاز می شود. این فاز هنگامی به پایان می رسد که برنامه ریزی عملی و فیزیکی آغاز می شود. در برخی متون تخصصی، این فاز "فرآیند پیش از طراحی" نامیده می شود که به معنای تمامی اقدامات لازم برای جمع آوری داده ها، تحلیل تحقیق و تفسیر پیش از برنامه ریزی حقیقی می باشد.
